Leonardo DaVinci says,
“simplicity is the ultimate sophistication”.
My goal for 2017 is just that, to simplify things.
And if this steps up my level of sophistication a bit, it would totally be a bonus!
(By the way, if you ever go to Rome, check out the Leonardo DaVinci museum there. It's a small one so it's not an overwhelming maze of museum, but it adequately showcases the impressive scope of his talents and work.)
I traveled a lot (both domestically and in internationally) in December which pretty much forced me to step away from the Internet and the constant bombardment of information. This was a godsend in allowing me to really information detox, which is super important to my soul-level needs.
Because my soul is primary in divine self-expression energy, it is critical that I maintain my originality. It is sooooo easy, more so than others, to get jumbled between what is mine and what is a good idea that I borrowed and infused from someone else. Therefore, taking time away from the noise of it all, allowed me to zero in what was truly in alignment and what wasn't.
What does simplicity mean to me?
It means following my soul blueprint, my framework as best as I can because when you align to who you are at soul level, you swim with the current. Things are easy, joyful, and this is how you create abundance. This is why I do readings for people, because I have experienced firsthand how understanding your soul gifts (and hang-ups) can inspire confidence, clarity, and joy. I want that for others too.
Simplicity also means consolidating and decluttering, and getting rid of the stuff that no longer serves me. Like balancing a gazillion social media accounts and holding on to grandma's doilies. I love you grandma, but it's time.
In this week's blog / podcast I go into detail as to what I am simplifying, both in my personal and biz life. I recommend you listen in to get the full scope.
However, here is a quickie run-down:
1. I am letting go of my “free” private Facebook group.
I am not primary in divine compassion, love or healing, and these folks are GREAT at nurturing a community. Me, not so much. I want to teach and do Q&A. Hit me with your questions and I am great. Dancing around and coming up with stuff for the sake of it? #ClawMyEyeballsOut
Therefore, my group will remain as a support group for my paid clients.
2. I am going to be my own coach this year.
Yes, I am a fan of growing and getting coaching to do this. But you can't pick out the countertops until you have the blueprint of your “house” finalized and have entered the implementation stage. I am finalizing and implementing. It should be a neat social experiment because I guarantee you that I will fuck up a lot (that darn humanity), but I look forward to sharing nonetheless.
3. I will stop trying to overcomplicate my services...
...by wanting to create some really super-fantastic spin on doing readings. I was so worried about becoming my “tool” that I forgot that it is my Akashic Records readings that allow me to infuse the other things I have to offer WITHIN the service I provide. Good lord, just offer customized readings, an add-on for those that want help with implementation, so I can focus more of my time and energy on my book and membership program.
4. I have simplified my morning routine.
While away I realized there were things that I did upon waking that I missed and others that made zero impact on my day. Things I kept? Stretching, meditation, and Tapping on any fears or issues that came up. Things I ditched? Looking at my “vision board”, affirmations, and “mandatory” journaling. Will I still do these things? Sure thing, but probably in the evening and not every day. And what's up with the self-afflicted, forced morning journaling thing? How did I get THERE??
Needless to say, there is a TON of relief in how feel as I head into 2017. I am not fully organized yet as I just had my moment of divine clarity this past month, but I look forward to making the needed changes so I can be of better service to you.
